http://www.artistrocrat.org Good Bad Times is a short film I did while doing a filmmaking workshop at The South Asian Academy of Motion Picture and Television, Karachi. Pakistan. The message of the story is that “Someone else is happy with less than what you have”
Synopsis:
This is a story of a poor man who has adopted an orphan from the street. The film opens with a kid playing with a broken doll inside a 1 room, old house. The door open with Agha coming in after a long day or trying to find some work and somehow arranges some food for himself and Bunty.
Upon Agha entering the room, Bunty gets up and goes towards Agha, expecting that he got something to eat for him/her. Chohan takes out 2 pieces of buns and offers it to her… Bunty makes faces on looking at the buns as she was expecting something different today…
Agha responds to Bunty’s feelings by dancing a little around the room, which brings a smile on Bunty;s face and while dancing, a thought comes across Agha’s mind and he goes and starts looking for something in the drawer near the plates..while dancing… He comes up to the table and takes out the buns and puts 1 fork on each on and does a dance sequence with the buns.. which Bunty really enjoys, and after the sequence, Bunty happily takes the bun and starts eating it…
